About Hebert

Dani has been a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner for more than 11 years collaborating with physician partners as well as independently managing a panel of more than a thousand patients ranging in age from 18 to over 100. Her expertise includes both episodic as well as chronic and preventative health care management for patients in the community. Danielle has also served in a variety of administrative roles during her career including Associate Site Chief for Internal Medicine and Co-Administrator of AP Services and Development. Danielle has re-instituted many continuing education programs that have been utilized by physicians and advanced practitioners. Danielle also co-led a team that designed an Advanced Practitioner Primary Care Residency program which provided additional training to newly hired nurse practitioners and physician assistants to better their knowledge and skills during their first year of practice. She is the new Director of Education for NPACE (Nurse Practitioner Associates for Continuing Education) where she works with the nurse planners in developing continuing education conferences to meet the needs of Nurse Practitioners throughout the United States. She is also  currently serving as the Program Director for the Central Mass ANE Academic-Practice Partnership (CMAAPP), a HRSA funded grant, with UMass Medical School Graduate School of Nursing.

Danielle has created new curriculum activities such as a “windshield tour”, on-line modules, case studies, and a new preceptor portal. She also recently participated in the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved 2018 Annual Conference in Washington DC. It is Danielle’s love of teaching others that has led her to working to help improve the integration of Advanced Practitioners at all levels of patient care. Danielle received her Masters of Nursing from UMass Worcester and graduated top of her class from UMASS Boston’s Doctor of Nursing program. When not caring for patients, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family in the White Mountains, crocheting and spending time outdoors with her black lab Fenway whenever possible.
